My West Village Guide
This is my “hometown” within Manhattan. Here’s a handful of my favorite places:
HUDSON BAGELS: My go-to New York bagel shop.
HOLEY DONUTS: Even though these are low fat, they’re delicious.
ELLARY’S GREENS: Organic, clean eating for lunch.
ANFORA AND DELL’ANIMA: I like to start at Anfora for the wine and then go next door to dell’anima for the pasta. Perfect date spots.
PICCOLO ANGELO: Family run classic Italian restaurant. My mother’s favorite!
SANT AMBROEUS: One of the best locations in the West Village for people watching.
WAVERLY INN: A West Village classic with sinful truffle mac and cheese
DOPPIO: Ask for the Chef Mike to make you his favorite pizza.
BEATRICE INN: Upscale and old school. Get at least two orders of the Brussels sprouts.
JOE’S PIZZA AND BLEEKER STREET PIZZA: I can’t choose a favorite and thankfully, I don’t have to. Visit both and let me know what you think!
EMPLOYEES ONLY: Classic cocktails and always crowded. There’s a fortune teller by the door if you want to find out how lucky you’ll get before you walk in.
FEDORA: This is my neighborhood nighttime spot for wine and a late snack of crispy thin fries.
TURKS & FROGS: A dark hidden wine bar to hide out in.
HOTEL MARGAUX: The best place to saddle up with the girls, grab a couch by the fire, and relax for the evening. The spicy nut mix is not your average bar snack!
POP UP CLUB MONACO STORE: Beautifully curated store on Bleecker with some special, one of a kind finds.
INTERMIX: If you have nothing to wear, you’ll find it here – but it can definitely get pricey. I go here for special pieces.
HOUSING WORKS: Very cool thrift shop for everything from fashion to home goods
DARLING: A small boutique with lots of cute spring and summer dresses. There’s a fan in the window so the skirts are always flowing.
PERRY STREET ALTERATIONS: Chung is my main man. Efficient, reasonably priced, and super skilled.
ANDRADE SHOE REPAIR: – my feet are a little, er, chubby! But I love them and these guys stretch and fix my shoes so they’re just right.
