Say Yes to the Little Black Dress
I guess it’s the forever New Yorker in me that will never give up on wearing black. I’ll scour my closet for something, end up with seven or eight outfits decorating the floor, and usually circle back to square one – the little black dress.
As the ultimate basic, the LBD was created for its versatility, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring. There’s a reason fashionistas have kept this look alive for almost a century. I’ll experiment with silhouettes in LBDs that might be a little more unusual but still seem chic when done up in basic black.
This fringe dress is one of those looks. The mock turtleneck is a style I’ve really enjoyed wearing lately but my favorite part is, of course, the asymmetrical fringe overlay. It makes the dress appear deceptively less mini and I love the movement it adds to the otherwise form fitting style.
Paired with webbed Louboutins and a side braid, it was the perfect outfit for a girls’ night in LA. And for perfect pictures because, as often happens, we all wore black.
