It’s In The Bag
If having baggage is wrong, then I don’t want to be right. My handbags are my evening survival kits, full of glosses, gadgets and secrets. Once in a while I dig up an old clutch or crossbody that has played home to receipts, bobby pins, and an abandoned mascara. Bags contain memories and never really seem to go out of fashion – or if they do, they usually come back around again. Rarely do I get rid of one, but I always make room for one more.
Narrowing down my top selection for this season is going to be near impossible. I’m obsessed with the rich colors, textures, and no shortage of fringe I’m seeing. Here are six of the bags that have caught my eye recently that I think would be a perfect addition to any bag lovers wardrobe.
Suede. Fringe. Ombre. Oh. My. This Chloe bag is a dream (literally, the price is a little other worldly) but the design is enough to inspire my whole fall wardrobe.
Sharing the same inspiration, I love how this ASOS bag mixes olive leather and suede for an everyday bag that goes beyond the basics.
Mini-crossbodies feel like the perfect night handbag but I’m all about this oversized offering from Thalia. It’s got that equestrian feel to pair with your favorite riding boots for fall. Also available in brown.
It’s hard to walk down an LA street and not spot this gem because the bucket bag is as chic as it is versatile. Elizabeth and James have them in such a wide range of colors and fabrics it’s hard to pick just one but this deep emerald version is my current favorite.
I’m not sure fringe has ever appeared so subtle and elegant but leave it to Burberry. The shape mimics a tote and bucket bag together and with its deep berry color oddly feels like it was built to carry a bottle of merlot. Now that sounds heavenly.
Another great silhouette from Elizabeth and James, this lambskin shoulder bag is buttery soft and adds the perfect pop of color to a neutral outfit.
