Cute To Boot
I’m eagerly anticipating my trip to the US Figure Skating Championships in St. Paul, Minnesota later this week – although I may have been slightly more mentally prepared a few minutes ago before I checked the weather. Anytime I see a ‘-‘ sign in front of a number, I get nervous. But hey, New York finally had their first snowfall and we’re already deep into January. If I hadn’t been preparing for winter before, it’s time. Winter’s not coming – it’s here.
One thing I like to invest in every year is a great pair of winter boots. Now I’m no snow bunny, but I definitely appreciate the comfort and warmth that comes with this footwear. And lately, I find there are enough cute styles that you don’t have to compromise fashion for function. Here’s some of my faves for the season:
If you’re looking at a more mild winter (fingers crossed), these Joie boots are perfect for cold weather hikes and a little bit of slush. They remind me of the classic LL Bean Boot, but with a little pop of color.
A wedge is a good compromise for a winter heel and these Aquatalia boots delivery on both height and style. They’re in waterproof suede too which is a must.
I love Sorel’s whole line of tall winter boots. They’re cuts are narrow so they never look clunky and they come in a huge range of colors and patterns. Did I mention they are on SALE too?
If you’re looking to go for a serious stroll through the snow, these North Face boots have been designed for heat retention, ice gripping, water resistance, ortho-comfort AND style. I’m also loving the unique galaxy print.
These booties from Michael Kors might not be the most practical pair on this list but they are definitely up for the cutest. I’d be more on a slippery side street in these heels than my stilettos!
What list of boots would be complete without a nod to the much beloved, and polarizing, UGG? I’ll just never get enough of these comfy, classic boots.
Stay warm out there friends!
